Uncovering the Significance of Ethical Leadership in Building A Nation

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, we will be discussing the significant influence of ethical leadership on the development and standing of nations. By examining biblical principles and the importance of righteousness, we aim to gain an understanding of the selection of leaders and the significance of moral integrity in public office. Join us as we dive into how righteousness is linked to nations’ progress and ethical leadership’s crucial role in shaping a country’s standing within the global community.

Last week we started with the scripture that says “Righteousness exalts a nation, and sin is a reproach to a nation”…, we also saw that any nation that wants to be recognized, be of value, and be relevant among the community of nations must have its managers, leaders as people who have full knowledge of God.

Comparing this with Proverbs 29:2, it becomes evident that righteousness or godliness is essential when electing, ordaining, or appointing individuals to public leadership positions in any nation, organization, or community that aims to progress.

Let me put it this way, any nation that wants to see the dividend of democracy or enjoy good governance must put Prov 14: 34 and Prov 29:2 at the back of their mind in appointing public officers that will make decisions on behalf of the whole citizens of that nation at every level.

Moving forward today, let us consider that word, righteousness. What is righteousness? (Rectitude) Is the quality or state of being morally correct or justifiable? It also means, living in the right relationship with God, other people, and all creation. We act righteously when we have justly, honestly, and faithfully according to God’s words.

A righteous person is someone who listens to God’s words and obeys them, he does not come up with his own rules and thoughts to do things in life that are not in line with God’s words and ways.

Let me recall, righteousness exalts a nation, having seen the meaning of righteousness, it means if we elect or appoint anyone who does not listen to God, obey God, or depend on God will lead the nation into reproach if you follow our thought line … Okay.

Let me answer your question, how can one become righteous? … Well, it is inputted into Rom 4:24, it is a gift for those who call on the name of the lord (Rom 5:17). Therefore, it is evident that it’s not what you work for.

The Bible says in 2 Cor 5:21 that we are the righteousness of God, so if you look at 1corth 12:38, God shared his gifts to us to have an exalted nation. The Bible tells us that some of these gifts were to handle spiritual matters, some to handle medical, some to handle government – -leadership, and so on,  but over the years, those who have been equipped to handle government-public leadership have left their offices because they grow up to be told a liar by the devil and her agents that the route to public leadership is dirty which politics and some other has taught against politics by personal instruction, feeling and lack of knowledge of God’s plans for his people is government.

Friends, this route God has approved for public offices can only be ordination, election, or appointment, so when talk about election we talk about the Democratic process and her affiliations.

For context, you can’t access public leadership outside ordination or election, and the ordained or elected can appoint anyone to assist in carrying out the task, talking about election, we talk about Democratic, politics and political parties.

As believers whom God has gifted with a leadership gift, to organize government, who have refused to join politics, and to secure elected office or appointment into public office, how will he manifest his gifts for the advancement of God’s kingdom?

Friends, politics is never a dirty game politics is an activity aimed at improving someone’s status or increasing power within an organization, it could also be securing the approval of the general public to improve national status. As we all know, our national status needs to be improved among the community of nations.

In conclusion today, let’s recall Prov 14:34 – righteousness exalts a nation – this means that a nation’s relationship with God is determined by who seat and coordinates her affairs if the person depends on God, listens, and obeys God’s words and does things in God’s ways, that nation will be relevance among nations, but if the person in the herm of affairs is independent of God and does not follow God’s ways, such nation will be in reproach as we are seeing in most nations today.

Finally, I like us to always remember that no authority exists outside God, so after God,  is Government – Rom 13:1-6. Staying away from government activities is a complete ignorance we cannot run our services or ministry without government approval and if our policies contradict government regulations, whether formulated by unbelievers or not, the government will come hard on us. So why are we staying away from what regulates our lives and activities?

Thank you for your time and help in sharing this blog to educate believers with the gift of administration to come into politics for the betterment of nations and the advancement of God’s kingdom.

Nothing improves without leadership.

We find ourselves in a world that solidly depends on leadership to create a path and provide direction for almost everything.

No nation arrives where they are without leadership. And no nation will get to where they are going without leadership.

AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHAT NEXT?

In our last conversation, we see righteousness as a non-negotiable quality of transformational or visionary leaders, similar to what we will be discussing today. Transformational or visionary leaders view their impact beyond their time in office or lifetime, and their decisions are focused on future generations.
Today, we will look at EMPAHTY as a non-negotiable quality of a leader. What is empathy?
