It is said that righteousness exalts a nation, while sin is an approach to a nation (Proverb 14:34). This implies that for a nation to be exalted, its heads and managers – her leaders must be people who have full knowledge of God. 1st Corinthians 15: 34 reveals that any nation that allows ungodly, unrighteous, or unbelievers to govern her, has exposed her citizens to hardship and unending groaning.
This is one of the greatest revelations of God’s word that has been missing in our world or neglected among believers.
Leadership is the heart of God because it talks about organizing people, inspiring them, and motivating them to achieve a worthwhile vision, mission, and goal, which can be a nation, state, LGA, community, or family.
This has quickly reminded me of when I was much younger back at home, town obeidu – Uromi in Esan North East, Edo – State, my biological father was the head of the youths like we fondly call ODION EGBONOKHE, if you know you know, if you don’t know, you don’t know. He was under-educated with great vision. This vision moved him to spot some elites in my village who formed his cabinet. What was his vision? To ensure the community has access to link roads across the town, a good health care system, skill acquisition for youths, and quick access to information back then was a post office which many of us might not know today – NIPOST. Did he achieve this, yes, that achievement became an inspiration and motivation to other quarters in my village to do the same with results. Most of the people in his cabinet became the direct beneficiaries of the access link roads and their unborn children then benefited from that vision and initiative by building houses facing those link roads which became the hub of development and socialization in my village, Obeidu Uromi.
This is all leadership is all about, vision. The scripture tells us when there is no vision the people perish and when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice Prov 29:2
The above is proof that Leadership is God’s heartbeat, this is while the scripture tells us that no authority exists outside God – Rom 13:1 but those who sit on it at any level are another ball game, and more importantly, whoever seats on it, is backed by God because after God is government. The government is those who ensures civil societies, enacting laws, formulation of policies, and enforcement of civil orders to maintain peace in our world through judicial process and military might. Rom 13: 1-6
This is one of the reasons that amaze me for believers who see public leadership as a dirty practice and professional engagement only for unbelievers, ungodly, backsliders, and occult people. They forgot you can’t gain access to authority that will enable you to bring change to the society outside the authority that existed, which we are told exists in God. Our access to that authority can be through Politics, Election (Ish 42:1, Rom 8:33, Matt 24:22) Ordination (Titus 1:5) Appointment. Sometimes it comes through military invasion, even though, the squared also has to elect someone who will oversee their operation. But what is politics? Wikipedia defined it as a set of activities that associated with making decisions In a group or other forms of power, relations among individuals, communities, states or nations, or organizations.
Friends, leadership positions are an exclusive right for believers, I mean, the righteous but when they ignore their rights or sleep over them, they will plunge the nation into hardship, groaning under various great bondages, this is what we are seeing in nations today.
I like to remind everyone hearing me now to also take it upon himself to share this video, as I made know God’s position, the bible says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6) not lack of prayers, so God expect believers to seek knowledge in the area were they need it, especially those area we are ignorant of our legitimate right to leadership positions because good righteous leaders bring education, economics enlightenment development, economics revival, and modern civilization along with peace and unity (Det 28:13) …you are the head, not the tail,
