We find ourselves in a world that solidly depends on leadership to create a path and provide direction for almost everything.
No nation arrives where they are without leadership. And no nation will get to where they are going without leadership.
Although citizens of a nation might know where they want to be, or see things that are not working, and know how to make it work but without leadership, they will go nowhere.
For example, in Nigeria, almost everyone knows things are not going well, yet those who think they know what is wrong and how to move the nation from where we are, to where we ought to be, see the process as dirty and corrupt.
Recall, as we said earlier, nothing improves without leadership, however, you can’t come into leadership without being a part of or involved in a group, or sector organization.
For example, you can’t contribute to public change, reformation, or move a nation from where it is to where it should be without being a part of a political party since we are in a democracy. You can’t get an appointment in public office if you are not recommended by someone who is a part and so on.
So seeing politics or being a part of a political party as dirty and something meant for corrupt people, yet complaining about the state of the nation makes you the biggest fool of the century.
I believe that everyone born into the world by default is involved in politics. This is because politics is any activity aimed to improve the status of man, society, or organization and increase power within. Thus, we all go to school to improve ourselves, so we can improve our world.
While in the other hand, politicians are those who are professionally involved in these activities aimed to improve the status of society, relations, and people.
Friends, recall you can’t be elected, selected, ordained, or appointed into any office to improve the status of people without being a part of an organization that wants to lead or improve society. So everyone who thinks he/she knows the problem of this nation should come out to be a part of the process to bring the solution to our nation.
Let me remind every youth that the future belongs to you and staying away from processes that bring people who make policies that regulate the future that belongs to you is the worst decision to make; especially in this digital information age.
I therefore encourage youths to network, submerge, and belong to a political party intending to improve society through the democratic process.
