WHO’S RIGHT TO INTERPRET THE LAW

God has put spiritual laws in place and made man to interpret it into laws that will guide the society. This is reduced to institutions deriving its laws from the constitution to make a smooth running of human involvement anywhere.

This is why God frown at anybody (including His children) who sees the process of contributing to policy making, enacting and enforcing laws as dirty game and tagged it as no go area for believers. In Romans 2:12, the Bible expressly said that, those who sinned without the law are punished without the law and those who sinned in the law will be judged by the law. This applies to both spiritual and societal matters. This is why it is easy for our law makers, advocates and law enforcement agents to leverage on the provisions of the law and free themselves from any accusation while those who are ignorant of it are punished thereby. As believers, it is important we know the law and its provisions so we are not grounded by the law in anything we do.

Friends, we must accept the avenue for enacting, interpreting and enforcing law as everyone will represent any idea according to his/her understanding and belief. An unbeliever will enact, interpret or enforce law according to the content of his/her heart while a believer will do in line with his faith. The bottom line is, we cannot live without the law irrespective of who enact, interpret or enforce it.  The nightmare here is, believers will be expecting the unbelievers to enact interpret or enforce laws in their favour and if they are not favoured, they complain against the government of the day and their personnel, when they have ignored the opportunity to be part of same.

Most believers don’t know it is unscriptural not to be involved in governance Det. 28:13, scripture says we are the head.., God create us and redeemed us to be the head so we can allow His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Secondly, complaining against authority that is in place which is set up by God. Romans 13:1-4. The Bible says, let every soul be subject to the governing authorities (whether Nation, Institution, Organization, Family or Religious body) for there is no authority except from God, and authorities that exist are appointed by God. Whoever resists the authority resist the ordinance of God and those who resist it will bring judgment on themselves.  For rulers are not terrors to good works but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same (authority). For he (anyone in authority) is God’s minister to you for good but if you do evil, be afraid; for he (anyone in authority) is Go’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practice evil (what do you call evil as believer, is it the same thing unbeliever call evil?)

In conclusion, as believers, must know that God will not set up authority and desire unbelievers there, nor will God set up authority to be vacant because of the ignorance of His children. The best He can do is to allow unbelievers stay there until His children grow up to know their inheritance and responsibility. In Gal 4:1, the bible says, now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all and Solomon sum it up by saying that he has seen evil under the sun… kings walking on bare foot while slaves ride on horses. BELIVERS BE WISE Romans 2:12 -23

Till we come your way next time.

Nothing improves without leadership.

We find ourselves in a world that solidly depends on leadership to create a path and provide direction for almost everything.

No nation arrives where they are without leadership. And no nation will get to where they are going without leadership.

AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHAT NEXT?

In our last conversation, we see righteousness as a non-negotiable quality of transformational or visionary leaders, similar to what we will be discussing today. Transformational or visionary leaders view their impact beyond their time in office or lifetime, and their decisions are focused on future generations.
Today, we will look at EMPAHTY as a non-negotiable quality of a leader. What is empathy?
